Honkai: Star Rail has opened pre-registrations only a few days ago, but the numbers achieved are certainly flattering.
Developer HoYoverse (which you likely know as the studio behind the massively popular Genshin Impact) has announced that the game has reached 3.5 million pre-registrations only nine days after the beginning of the campaign.
This means that users have already unlocked several rewards including 50,000 credits, 3 Star Rail Passes, the "Trailbrazer - Welcome" avatar, and the four-star character Serval. The only remaining goal is at 5 million pre-registrations, which will add 15 Star Rail Passes to the bounty. At this point, it's only a matter of time before that goal is achieved as well.
Honkai: Star Rail is coming for PC via the Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android. It's a turn-based RPG, making it quite different from its popular predecessor, but no less interesting. If you're unfamiliar with the game, here's how the developer describes the game's world.
"In this universe, there are the [Aeons], incarnations of universal principles that are able to freely travel between infinite worlds using some kind of primitive force. The galaxy is packed with varied worlds that have unique landscapes and stories; the [Aeons] roaming the universe uphold their own beliefs. The protagonist, who was implanted with a [Stellaron], embarks on a trip aboard the Astral Express with a group of passengers who claim to have inherited the spirit of [the Trailblaze]. Together they will pursue the trails of [Aeons] to explore the realms of the universe."
