Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!, a weapon shop management sim with a rather unwieldy name, launches for PS4 and Nintendo Switch July 12th.
This first entry in the Holy Potatoes! series sees players "manage [their] very own weapon shop and expand its business across an incredible potato world". A Weapon Shop?! has been available for PC via Steam since July 2015; this will mark the first time any game in the series has seen a console release.

The trailer shows off the rather curious potato-themed aesthetic of Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!, as well as its management sim-style gameplay. Players will "take charge of [their] granddad's weapon shop and turn it into the place to be for hard-boiled adventurers".
Over 30 smiths can be employed by players to create hundreds of unique weapons, and the "hilarious potato world" can be fully explored and mined for "materials, relics, and enchantments". The game features the musical talents of Suikoden and Castlevania composer Kimura Masahiko, plus "over 20 spudified versions of legendary pop-culture icons". A potato fellow who looks suspiciously like Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife can clearly be seen in the trailer. Seems like the perfect pick for fans of Recettear or quirky shop-'em-up Shoppe Keep.
It's also worth noting that the DLC for Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!, a series of standalone missions called Spud Tales: Journey to Olympus, will be available for both console versions entirely free of charge (extra charge, anyway).
Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! will launch for PS4 and Nintendo Switch digitally on July 12th, and will retail for $14.95. The game is developed by Singapore-based company Daylight Studios, and published by Rising Star Games. There's no word yet if or when the other games in the series will appear on consoles. So far there have been 4 releases including A Weapon Shop, We're In Space?!, and What The Hell?! with the most recent being Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?!.
