Holy Potatoes A Weapon Shop

Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! (an adorable weapon crafting game by Daylight Studios) is getting its first DLC including some bonus content for the main story according to a post made by the developer on their Steam Community page.

A major portion of this particular DLC for Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! is centered around the addition of "Spud Tales". Spud Tales are standalone missions that are unrelated to the main storyline of the game. You get a shop separate from the one you've built up in the storyline and you have to complete a series of objectives within certain constraints. Although the standalone missions would ostensibly be shorter than the main story, the developers have stated that they are going to be more challenging that what you would normally expect from Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!

The first Spud Tales scenario is called Journey To Olympus and in it you get to help Zeus' demigod son Herculeless forge a weapon worthy of a God to help him return to Olympus. Featured in the scenario will be 5 new legendary heroes with outlandish requests, 6 new mythical heroes for you to sell your insanely powerful weapons to, 3 new legendary weapons to forge, and 3 new areas to explore.

In addition to the Spud Tales, the main game will be getting bonus content from the DLC, which is focused on adding onto the main game storyline in one way or another for those who purchase the DLC. 2 new Legendary Heroes (who will have "outrageous requests") will be pestering you in your shop. That will hopefully be balanced out by the addition of 2 new Smiths to the roster.

Considering how Daylight Studios has framed the addition of Spud Tales, it's reasonable to expect that they will be creating more DLC of a similar model in the future.

Will you be picking up this DLC for Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!? What other blacksmithing games with adorable personified vegetables are you fond of? Let us know in the comments below!
