Hohokum Soundtrack Preview Released, Is Fantastic

Hohokum, an upcoming indie release for the Playstation 3, 4, and Vita, revealed it's complete soundtrack today. Like it's beautiful artwork and mesmerizing gameplay, the soundtrack is something worth your attention.

Instead of producing the tunes in-house, development team Honeyslug opted to partner with record label Ghostly International, and enlisted their talents for the sound backdrop to Hohokum. The result is a hefty collection of songs that manage to make me even more excited for the upcoming release.

The music is recommended listening if you're at all a fan of mellow, dreamy, instrumental tracks. It's an overall extremely relaxing package, sure to drive home the themes that the impending game provides.

The result is embedded below. The whole soundtrack is there, and if this is the kind of thing that strikes your fancy, the album is up for preorder here, on digital download and vinyl.

The game releases across the Playstation platforms on August 12th, as part of Sony's Play 2014 summer sale.

Seth firmly believes that there isn't a good way to make a bio sound anything less than pretentious without tossing in a self-referential meta joke, so here we are. Also I talk about video game music a lot.
