The third episode for IO Interactive's stealth game HITMAN will be coming to a screen near you on May 31.
This info comes from an official blog post and details some of the new features you can look forward to in this episode, as well as some new background info on the new map set in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, a far cry from the Western city of Paris and the sleepy Italian coastal town of Sapienza.
Marrakesh is an intricate and atmospheric map set in the city's medina (a sort of perpetual marketplace where locals peddle their wares). The whole map is a maze of small streets, rooftop terraces, and alleys with shops and stalls and even a traditional shisha (waterpipe) café. Players will also be able to go to the Swedish Consulate building in the city, its modern design a stark contrast with the surrounding architecture.
The first part of your mission is to assassinate a private banker by the name of Claus Strandberg, who is holed up inside the Swedish Consulate. The second target on this map is an army general by the name of Reza Zaydan, who has taken refuge in the bustling heart of the city. How you kill your targets is, once again, completely up to you and you may use a variety of traps and environmental kills to down your opponents unseen.
Episode 3 will has been designed to keep players busy with a wide range of challenges and opportunities and along with an entirely new setting for Contracts mode, Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts, we are dying to see what you come up with.
