IO Interactive has released its Hitman 2 roadmap for July. The roadmap includes new challenges, a legacy target, Escalation Contracts, and more. This month, the studio is working on the theme of Jungle Music (formerly Jungle Summer). All of July's Hitman 2 content will revolve around this theme. Let's take a look at what you can expect from the stealth sandbox in the coming weeks.
July 4th - Escalation Contract
Starting today, you'll be able to play a new Escalation Contract. The Babayeva Dissonance takes you to the Isle of Sgail and tasks you with taking care of the musicians. There are three stages, with each one requiring Agent 47 to use different skills. From precision shooting to explosives, you'll have to find ways to take down the musicians and keep your cover intact. IO Interactive urges you to "be gentle with the cellist".
July 11th - Challenge Pack
July 11th's challenge pack takes place in Santa Fortuna. IO Interactive is adding five new band-related challenges to this location, so you'll have to have your wits about you to achieve success. Completing all five challenges will net you your very own violin.
July 18th - Featured Contracts
In keeping with the Jungle Music theme, IO Interactive is looking for Featured Contract submissions that fit the theme of "Tone Death". IO keeps its themes purposefully open-ended to ensure that content creators can interpret the theme however they want. If you've got an idea for a Featured Contract, head over to the submission thread. Make sure you get your submission in by 9 am CEST on July 15th.
July 19th - Legacy Elusive Target
You'll be going to Sapienza on July 19th. The notorious Badboy is making his return to Sapienza on this date. He'll be sticking around for 10 days, so make sure you take care of him before then. You'll need to own the Legacy Pack if you want to play this Elusive Target.
July 25th - Escalation Contract
Once again, you're jetting off to the sunny climes of Santa Fortuna for July 25th's Escalation Contract. The Calvino Cacophony sees 47 becoming a master of explosives. According to IO Interactive, you'll "definitely blow stuff up" on this mission. If you complete this escalation, you'll be rewarded with the Hot Summer Suit.
July 29th - IOI Monthly #5
On July 29th, IO Interactive's IOI Monthly live stream will return. The studio is promising developer insight into July's content and a look forward to August's upcoming roadmap. Key members of the team that created the upcoming Prison map will appear to divulge some details about the newest Sniper Assassin location.
July 30th - New Sniper Assassin Map / Anniversary Outfits
As a respite from the summer heat, July 30th's new Sniper Assassin map sees 47 traveling to Siberia. The Prison is one of the harshest and coldest places on the planet. If you get full mastery in The Prison, you'll unlock the Druzhina 35 ICA Arctic for use in all of Hitman 2's sandbox maps. You'll need the Expansion Pass for this content. July 30th also brings with it some free Anniversary Outfits for 47. To unlock the Futo Suit, the Lynch Suit, and the Freedom Phantom Suit, all you need to do is sign up for an IOI account.
July 30th - Hawke's Bay Contracts / Game Update
It's all go on July 30th for Hitman 2. Starting from this date, you'll be able to create and play your own Contract missions on the Hawke's Bay map. There's also a major game update coming on July 30th which will implement improvements and fixes in all aspects of the game.
