It's Pokemon Day today, and to celebrate, The Pokemon Company held a presentation with a bunch of updates and announcements. There's one big new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet announcement to talk about, but there was a lot of other stuff too, so here's everything that was revealed during today's Pokemon Presents showcase!

Pokemon World Championships info and new TCG Classic set

First, we got a look at the World Championships, which are being held in Yokohama in Japan this year. The Championships will take place between August 11th and 13th, and the adorable new art for the event was also revealed, starring the Paldean starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly (as well as Pikachu) enjoying Japanese delicacies.

As well as info regarding the World Championships, we also got to see a brand new Pokemon Trading Card Game set. Titled Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic, it's being worked on in collaboration with Nendo and Creatures, and it's intended to "last a lifetime". More info will be available at the World Championships.

A new Pokemon Netflix series titled Pokemon Concierge

Next, we got a very brief but cute look at a new series being created in collaboration with Netflix. Pokemon Concierge revolves around Haru, the titular concierge at the Pokemon Resort, and all of the Pokemon she meets and interacts with. We don't know when this series is being released yet.

Zacian in Pokemon Unite

Earlier today, the legendary Pokemon Zacian came to MOBA Pokemon Unite, and this showcase gave us a brief look at Zacian's devastating Sovereign Sword move, as well as some of the new event missions you can play. You can also use the gift code "POKEMONDAY" for a Gold Zacian Boost Emblem.

Paldea starters in Pokemon Cafe Remix

Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly have finished their Japanese delicacies from the Yokohama Championships, and they're now making their way into Pokemon Cafe Remix. There's a new Paldea dish to go with them, and you can pick one of them to join your cafe's staff. You can also deliver to five-star chefs who have appeared throughout the game in the past, and there's a Greninja outfit up for grabs too.

Pokemon Champions appearing in Pokemon Masters EX

To celebrate its 3.5th anniversary (apparently that's a thing now), classic Pokemon Champions are making an appearance in Pokemon Masters EX. Log in and you'll also be eligible for a reward of 3000 Gems, so make sure to hop in if you haven't played for a while.

Pokemon Sleep is ready to wake up

Do you remember Pokemon Sleep, the sleep health app that was announced all the way back in 2019? Well, it's back, and it's got a release window of summer this year. We also got to learn more about the app itself, which will track your sleep health and attract Pokemon who sleep just like you do to your island. Of course, Snorlax is also heavily involved.

Pokemon Go Plus + revealed

As well as Pokemon Sleep, the showcase also revealed a new accessory in the form of Pokemon Go Plus +, or Plus Plus. Compatible with both Sleep and Go, the device will measure your sleep data, as well as playing you some frankly adorable-sounding Pikachu noises to help you sleep and greet you when you wake up. If you've ever dreamed of cuddling a Pikachu while you sleep, this seems like it'll get you close to that dream.

The device is, naturally, also compatible with Pokemon Go. It'll let you spin Pokestops and catch Pokemon at the press of a button, without needing to take your smartphone out with you. The device is coming out on July 14th, and you can encounter a nightcap-wearing Snorlax in Pokemon Go if you pick one up. Sold.

New Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Two new Paradox Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. They are Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, Paradox versions of Suicune and Virizion respectively. The former will appear in Pokemon Scarlet, while the latter is exclusive to Violet. A new Tera Raid is also coming to give you your first chance of catching these two.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet compatibility with Pokemon Go

As well as the two new Paradox 'mons, The Pokemon Company also revealed that Scarlet and Violet will be compatible with Pokemon Go. If you connect the two, you can send postcards from Pokemon Go to Scarlet and Violet, and the postcards you send will change Vivillon's patterns. Pokemon Go players who send postcards can also catch Roaming Gimmighoul, which will then evolve into Gholdengo if you catch 999 of them. The Pokemon Company also reiterates that Pokemon Home support is coming to Scarlet and Violet early this year.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC is on the way

Last, but certainly not least, we got a look at some brand new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is a new two-part story that will take you out of the Paldea region in search of two new Legendary Pokemon, and several Pokemon that didn't appear in the base games will also be added.

Part one of the DLC, The Teal Mask, is due to arrive in fall this year, while part two, The Indigo Disk, is scheduled for winter. We'll bring you more on when those DLC packs are launching as we get it, so make sure to stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info.

Whew! That's plenty of Pokemon news to be getting on with. You can check out the full presentation here if you'd like to watch along.
