The Haven release date has been locked in for most platforms, but not everyone will get to play this upcoming co-op title from The Game Bakers this year.

Haven is an intriguing game that tells the tale of Yu and Kay, two lovers who have escaped from their home to an isolated planet. This isn't just a heartwarming love story, though — it also features some interesting innovations on turn-based combat.

After many months of waiting, The Game Bakers have revealed the Haven release date! Check out the new Haven Story Trailer to see some brand-new scenes — including our first look at the enemies that are hunting the cute couple!

The Haven Story trailer gives us some interesting details about the setting. To start, Yu and Kay essentially picked the planet they're on entirely at random and traveled there in a "Class D" ship that was ill-suited for interstellar travel, all in the hopes of starting a new life.

In addition to showing off some more creatures, this trailer also debuted robotic enemies that appear to serve the Council of the Apiary, the organization that is hunting our protagonists for reasons we still do not yet understand. Several scenes also showed new locations that appear much more dangerous than the lush, green starting area where players will likely begin the game.

What is the Haven Release Date?

The Haven release date will be December 3, 2020, for the PC, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X according to a press release. The Haven PS4 release date and Haven Nintendo Switch release date will be sometime in Q1 2021; we've reached out to The Game Bakers for comment and will update this article when we receive a reply.

The next-gen announcement also comes with a happy surprise — PS4 and Xbox One players will be entitled to a free next-gen upgrade as many other games are doing.

For now, you can find out more about Haven on the game's official website. You should also read our three-part interview with The Game Bakers' Emeric Thoa to learn even more about this upcoming world. Don't forget to add Haven to your wishlist on Steam, too!
