The upcoming changes to Hanzo's Casual Skin in Overwatch have been pushed to the game's Public Test Region server according to a post on the game's official forums from Community Manager Tom Powers.
Hanzo's Casual Skin is one of the new batch of Legendary Skins that came out with the 2017 Winter Wonderland event earlier this month. Most of the skins were well-received, but a number of complaints and criticisms had come forth from the community about the appearance of the skin. In particular, fans were upset that it didn't look much like the outfit Hanzo was wearing in the Reflections comic from last year's holiday season. Players took issue with several elements of the skin including Hanzo's grayed beard, his oversized nose piercing, his droopy pants, and a decorative dragon on the back of his pants that has been dubbed by some as "the poop dragon."

The current Overwatch PTR patch now has an updated version of the skin that shows a number of changes (as seen above). The crotch of Hanzo's pants have been raised, he's had a bit of a dye job and a shave on his beard, and the nose piercing has been shrunk slightly. (Alas, the poop dragon remains.) The post asks players to leave feedback on the PTR forum, but there's been nary a peep on that front so far. The people over at the /r/Overwatch subreddit have generally had good things to say about the changes in the thread on this particular topic.
This wasn't the first time Overwatch fans complained about a skin, especially during the holiday season - last year's "Mei-rry" skin was met with a number of complaints about its status as a Legendary skin. Whether this is it for the changes or there's more to come is up in the air - Blizzard had originally said that we wouldn't see anything until "early January", although that could be interpreted as meaning when the changes would be pushed to the live game. Whether this is the end of it or the players will demand more, Blizzard stepped up to fix a cosmetic that a lot of players took issue with in a timely manner.
What do you think of the changes made to Hanzo's Casual Skin on the Overwatch PTR? Do you think Blizzard did a good job of sprucing things up and making it closer to the Reflections comic? Which version do you prefer? Let us know in the comments below!
