A teaser for the Halo TV Show that's set to appear on Paramount Plus in 2022 has arrived early on Facebook ads in some regions, tantalizing fans with a short preview of John-117's story.

Television and movie adaptations of video games are nothing new; in the last two years alone, we've heard about a Fallout TV show, Twisted Metal TV show, and a television show based on the board game Risk (of all things). Naturally, Halo is one of these franchises getting an adaptation and it's largely been kept under wraps -- right up until Facebook ads started going up a little earlier than expected. @DexertoSpartans on Twitter managed to snag a recording of the advertisement.

The teaser shows Master Chief's armored hand and a "117" engraved in his armor (representing his name, John-117). Master Chief puts his helmet on and Cortana says "Hello, Master Chief." We then get treated to a short bit of the Halo theme and the teaser ends.

The Halo TV Show was first announced all the way back in 2013. No, really, 2013. Steven Speilberg was set to put it all together and then a whole lot of nothing happened for most of the 2010s (at least not publicly). It was subsequently announced as a Showtime exclusive, and then it was moved over to Paramount Plus earlier this year.

When is the Halo TV Show Release Date?

The Halo TV Show release date will be sometime in 2022. A more specific release date has not yet been announced.

For now, there's plenty of fun to be had with the Halo games! You can buy Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC and Xbox right now at the price of $39.99 or your regional equivalent and you can look forward to the launch of Halo Infinite in early December 2021.
