Get ready for even more Spartan action: A Halo MCC ODST Firefight release has been confirmed by Bungie

Check out this new Halo MCC ODST Firefight Trailer to get hyped for even more classic content making its way to The Master Chief Collection:

If you never played Halo 3 ODST or Halo Reach, you might not know what the heck Firefight is. Simply put, this game mode puts you and up to three of your friends up against a nigh-unstoppable army of Covenant attackers.

As the Halo wiki notes, this game mode first made its debut in Halo 3 ODST. Players get a total of seven lives spread across the entire team; once those lives are gone, the game is over. There is no end to the Covenant onslaught until all of the players' lives have run out.

Halo Reach stepped up the challenge and fun with new game modes. "Classic Mode" plays pretty much just like the gameplay in Halo 3 ODST. Several new modes including a 2v2 game type, Score Attack, and several others made their debut in Halo Reach.

Now, the Halo MCC ODST Firefight will be bringing this great Horde mode gameplay to The Master Chief Collection, bringing even more value to an already great bundle of games.

When is the Halo MCC ODST Firefight Release Date?

There's just one question remaining: when will you be able to actually play Firefight in The Master Chief Collection?

Regrettably, today's announcement declined to mention a specific date. That said, we do know that Firefight will be coming to The Master Chief Collection sometime later in the Summer of 2020, so hopefully it won't be too long of a wait.

In the meantime, you can pick up Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC via Steam for $39.99 or your regional equivalent. Xbox One players can get it at the Microsoft Store starting at $31.99, a 20% discount.
