Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which releases next week on the 11th of November, was said to be accompanied by a day one 20 GB update. On top of the 45 GB that is already required to download for the campaigns, or that will come on the disc if you purchase it physically, you will need to get the 20 GB download for all of the 100+ Halo Multiplayer maps.
Dan Ayoub an Executive Producer of 343 Industries has revealed that people who preordered the game digitally now do not have to wait for day one to come around before they can download this update.
Good news gang! Day One TU for MCC is up! If you haven't enabled auto download, go get it now!! #HaloMCC

If the day one patch for Halo: MCC isn't appearing on your download queue it wil either show up eventually or you are recommended to try turning your console on and off. At the moment there is no word as to how you can download the day one patch of Halo: MCC if you have preordered a physical copy of the game. It is worth noting if you are unable to download it early that the day one patch is only for the Halo multiplayer and that the campaigns for Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will be on the disc so you can begin playing Halo while the multiplayer downloads.
Look forward to our review of Halo The Master Chief Collection next week.
