Halo Infinite has teamed up with Monster Energy Drinks to create a range of cans featuring Master Chief's iconic likeness. The Monster Halo Infinite drinks offer players a boost in the game if they save the receipt from buying the can.

What is the Halo Infinite and Monster Energy crossover offering?

If you save your receipt after buying a can of Monster Energy with the Halo Infinite promo on it, the can says you can unlock "2XP". It's not entirely clear whether this means 2 actual experience points or double XP for a certain period of time. The can also has a Snapchat icon to scan, as well as text advertising the "Halo A.R. experience". Finally, you'll notice a big ol' Xbox Series X logo at the bottom of the can.

In the small print, the can says you need to redeem the 2XP offer by December 31st this year. That stacks up with Halo Infinite, which will be launching alongside the Xbox Series X sometime during 2020's holiday season. The small print goes on to say Halo Infinite is "coming soon" and that its ESRB rating is pending. Previous Halo games have tended towards Mature, although Halo 5: Guardians received a Teen rating from the ESRB, so it's anyone's guess what the new game will be rated.

When will Halo Infinite launch?

Unfortunately, we don't yet know exactly when we can expect Halo Infinite to hit. Later today, an Xbox live stream is expected to show off the first gameplay for Halo Infinite, so we might well get a release date for the game - and by extension the console - during that presentation. 343 Industries has said that Halo Infinite's story will be "more human" than that of Halo 5: Guardians, and that iconic series protagonist Master Chief will figure more heavily in its narrative. Halo Infinite will also be launching for Xbox Series X and PC.
