Developer and publisher CD Projekt Red has announced that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, now has a new Draft game mode and the third season of Journey available. The new Gwent Draft mode will allow players to choose from three sets of cards to fill out their decks, with each deck have to feature a leader's ability, core legendary card, and Stratagem picked separately. Each set of cards will offer a variety of "powerful synergies" for players to utilize against other players in Draft mode. The game will end once a player wins seven matches or decides to toss it all and build a different deck.

There's also a new season of Journey that's available today. Gwent's progression system rewards players as they level up in Standard, Seasonal, and Draft Mode matches. The third season of Journey will give players over 100 levels to chase with unique ornaments and other awards that are centered around Alzur, who is a renegade sorcerer that apparently created witchers. As the season progresses, new chapters of Alzur's story will be made available on a weekly basis over the course of Journey's three-month stay, which is a nice thing for Gwent players to look forward to.

The base tier of Journey is free for all players, but an optional Premium Pass is also available for anyone who wants to toss a coin to their witcher developer. For those who are interested in what the Premium Pass offers, it gives players Alzur's customizable legendary leader skin, and more vanities to unlock if you're into that kind of thing.

If you would like more details about the Premium Pass, check it out on the Journey website. If you're interested in playing Gwent, check it out on Steam. For all news on Gwent and other gaming news, stay tuned to TechRaptor.
