One of Gust’s newest titles Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusion is releasing on March 30th in Japan but there will be no Western release. Or will there? A list of English PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita trophies for the game have shown up on Exophase today giving some gamers hope that the RPG title will be getting a Western release.

Exophase is a website that accesses major console companies' servers to retrieve players information such as trophies so they can track and share it from a central profile. Players use Exophase to track their achievements, compare them to others and share it across multiple formats. So, if the web service has retrieved the English language Blue Reflection PSN trophies from Sony’s servers there’s a possibility that there are plans to bring the Japanese game to a Western audience.
Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusion is a magical girl RPG in which high school girls fight forces of evil. Protagonist Hinako is depressed after stopping her study of ballet dancing after an injury but together with two friends she finds happiness and uses her “Reflector” power to fight mysterious enemies. Players will not only use magical abilities to attack enemies they will also be able to create bonds with their classmates that affect the course of the game.
Nearly 50 trophies are listed on the site and include achievements for finishing chapters, defeating enemies and basic milestones. There are trophies for 12 chapters, 5 intermissions and 12 bond episodes for different characters. English trophies have surfaced for Japanese games on Exophase before such as Uppers and Net High and neither have been localized. Yet, this sort of information was also revealed for Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni, which did eventually make it West. Although the trophies could be evidence that Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust are at least considering the possibility of localizing Blue Reflection for English speaking players, there’s no guarantee it will ever actually happen.
Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusion will launch on PS4 and PS Vita in Japan, March 30, 2017.
