The Gunk, an action-adventure title, has done pretty well for itself since its release. It was released on Xbox Game Pass December 16, 2021 and received decent reviews overall. It's been called a "big success" by its publisher, with hundreds of thousands of players in the two months since its release on the platform. Due to this success, there will now be a photo mode that will allow players to take and edit screenshots in-game.

Along with the photo mode there will also be a larger audience due to The Gunk being opened up to four new languages, which are Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, simplified Chinese and Russian. These are apparently the most requested languages from the community, so hopefully those that have been waiting for the translations will be able to enjoy the experience.
As for the game itself, players will play as Rani, part of a duo of gritty space haulers that have hit the jackpot. They've found an untouched planet full of life, and they'll have to uncover lost secrets from a destroyed civilization while battling the curse of a toxic gunk parasite. To do so, you'll use a Power Glove to reverse the corruption and heal the planet while also experiencing the evolving relationship of the crew.
The Gunk is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Xbox Game Pass. The Gunk will also be available on Steam and other PC platforms in Spring 2022. The release will have the photo mode and the languages that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass version of the game. For more information, stay tuned to TechRaptor.
