A new Gungrave G.O.R.E update is live, bringing a fan-favorite character into the fold and allowing you to play as him. The Wolf, also known as Bunji, is one of Grave's longest-standing rivals, and he comes with his own set of benefits if you choose to play as him throughout the adventure.
The patch notes for update 1.02 break down what you can expect from Bunji. This gunslinger gets access to a Charge Shot, a Demolition Shot, and more abilities besides, and you can upgrade his abilities throughout the story as well. If you want to see how Bunji works in action, then you can check out the Gungrave G.O.R.E Bunji trailer right here.
Bunji comes with his own set of achievements, too, so if you're hoping for an excuse to revisit the Gungrave G.O.R.E campaign, it looks like you've found that excuse. You can unlock Bunji at the Lab by spending DNA, and you can play as him on every one of the game's stages once you've unlocked him.
A host of smaller changes and improvements have also been made to Gungrave G.O.R.E as part of update 1.02. These include camera changes for certain skills, as well as system improvements like better dodging, polished animations, and improved control functionality. You can read the full list of Gungrave G.O.R.E changes right here on Steam.
If you're unfamiliar with Gungrave G.O.R.E, it's a continuation of the Gungrave franchise, which got its start on PS2 back in 2002. Like the original game, Gungrave G.O.R.E is a stylish action shooter with a distinctive anime aesthetic. The game marries melee combat with gunplay, allowing you to switch between the two combat styles on the fly as you hack, slash, and blast your way through what developer Iggymob calls an "epic & emotional story of vengeance, love, and loyalty".
