The cooperative shooter Remnant: From the Ashes releases later this month, and ahead of its launch, developer Gunfire Games announced the final world players can visit. Today, we got our first look at the planet Corsus.

Corsus is an ice planet fraught with danger. Players arrive at a swamp inhabited by a race of aliens called the Iskal. The Iskal is a strange hybrid between a mammal and insect, and serve as the main enemy force on this world. Players can expect to fight through swampy villages underground, caverns, and encounter strange steampunk structures.

In Remnant: From the Ashes, players take the role of a class-based character who has unique weapons and guns. Players are able to hop from world to world and fight enemies while gaining loot on a story-based quest.

Other worlds players encounter in Remnant include a post-apocalyptic, 1960's era Earth, featuring subways, cities, and more. The world Yesha is a fantasy-like jungle with a strange race of bipedal goat men, who you'll have to fight if you wish to continue your quest alive. The desert-like world of Rhom features mysterious, alien ruins and a canyon dotted with buildings and bridges. The tribal, bone-clad inhabitants of Rhom stand in your way.

With the reveal of Corsus, the launch for Remnant: From the Ashes is imminent. You can pre-order Remnant on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 right now. If you pre-order on PC you can receive several digital goodies, including a VIP Preview Weekend Access, granting you the ability to play before its official launch on August 20th, 2019.

Quick Take

The coolest thing about Remnant: From the Ashes is its overall design, artistically speaking. I've seen a lot of extremely creative monsters and aliens, and the worlds seem to be detailed and unique from one another. I like that the developers at Gunfire managed to differentiate everything so that, hopefully, this shooter doesn't feel old after a few hours. The nature of the game is running through with a group of people run after run, so I hope that they succeed in keeping every playthrough as engaging as the last.
