Developer 10 Chambers has surprise-dropped a brand new GTFO update. The update extends the Rebirth Rundown, adding new expeditions, a new horde objective, and more. It also teases the full game's release window.

What's in the new GTFO update?

10 Chambers' new GTFO update is described by the studio as "the biggest yet". It adds five new expeditions, which means there's a total of thirteen missions in the game at present. There's also a new 30-minute horde mode in which you'll be tasked with surviving wave after wave of monsters alongside your co-op partners. A new environment, the Floodways, has been added, allowing you to explore an area overrun with plant life and grotesque obstacles. You'll also find a new monster in the Spawner, which can spawn additional enemies even in rooms you've already cleared, along with new Booster Implants, which you can use to augment your stats and abilities.

What is the GTFO Release Date?

In addition to the new features, 10 Chambers also teased the GTFO release window. The studio says it's aiming to take GTFO out of Early Access by the end of 2021, with creative director Ulf Andersson saying he feels "confident that this transition will happen this year". Unfortunately, we don't have a more specific release date than that for the full game, but 10 Chambers will keep updating the Early Access version in the interim, so there will be plenty of content to fill that gap. In the meantime, the latest GTFO update is completely free if you already own the game, so make sure to download it.

You can grab GTFO right now via Steam Early Access. It usually costs $34.99, but to celebrate the new update, you can pick it up for 20% off. The developers say this is a "limited-time" sale, although they don't specify when it ends, so if you're interested in GTFO and haven't checked it out yet, now is very much the time to do so. We'll bring you more on this game, including a potential final release date, as soon as we get it.
