Regardless of what you think of Grand Theft Auto online, it can't be denied that Rockstar Games still strongly support the game despite it having been out for a couple years at this point. Players have been given a steady stream of updates, some adding a new range of themed cosmetic items, while some updates implement entirely new modes into the game. Recently, Grand Theft Auto Online players got a chance to live out their dreams of becoming a motorcycle club member and now the game will have a new mode bolted onto the open-world game.

This new mode for the Adversary playlist of the game is called 'Deadline', and sees players take on each other in a retro-inspired motorcycle battles where you have to try to make other players drive into your light trail while simultaneously trying to not accidentally bump into another player's light trail. Sounds familiar? That might be because it's pretty much a light cycle race from the wonderful Tron Universe:

Turn the streets of Los Santos into a stylish electronic videogame battle to the death with the latest update to GTA Online. Achieve hyper speed on the futuristic Nagasaki Shotaro and demolish foes with the power of your light trail in the new Adversary Mode, Deadline. Check out the new trailer above and read on for more details, including special GTA Online bonuses happening now through Monday, November 21st.
Deadline is a 4-player mode where you have to race down on an obstacle-heavy track while trying to force the other players to drive into your light trail. In this mode, you have access to several actions you won't be able to use outset of the Deadline mode. Players can boost their bike temporarily so you can get ahead of the pack, slow down time momentarily, giving you more precise movement to neatly cut off the enemies, and you can hop to jump over other players' light trails. If you play the mode through November 21st you will get double the amount of money and RP for every match played.

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
