Today Nintendo surprise-dropped the trailer of the new story DLC coming for Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles 3, titled "Future Redeemed"
The DLC launches much earlier than many may have anticipated considering that before we only knew it'd come by the end of 2023. Now we learn that it releases on April 25.
We already knew that it was supposed to bring the story of the trilogy together, and it does so very literally. While the protagonists of the DLC are new, we get to see grown-up Shulk from the original Xenoblade Chronicles, and Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and boy they both look really cool.
Both will also be playable alongside the rest of the party, which is awesome. While we don't yet know how this reunion will happen, fans of the series will most likely be intrigued by seeing the previous heroes come back.
You can check the trailer out below. If you'd rather check out the Japanese voices, you can also find the trailer for Japan on the official channel.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is currently available exclusively for Nintendo Switch. If you'd like to know more, you can read our review of the game, which our Tyler Chancey praised for its "deeply moving narrative with likable characters propelled forward by action-packed gameplay."
If you love the Xenoblade series as a whole, this looks like it's going to be a great walk down Memory lane.
