The annual Granblue Fantasy Fes event is starting at the Tokyo Big Sight venue in Japan, and the local press is already playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Alongside rather enthusiastic preview comments, Japanese websites like 4Gamer have shared a gallery of new screenshots providing a look at the demo playable on the show floor.

We get a look at the characters available in the demo, Gran, Katalina, Rackham, Lancelot, Siegfried, Charlotta, and Io. Fans of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game or Granblue Fantasy Versus are likely familiar with them, and we already know that more will be playable in the final game, including Djeeta, Lyria, Vyrn, Eugen, Rosetta, Vane, Percival, Yodarha, and a brand new hero named Rolan.

More screenshots showcase battle scenes including the Chain Burst that comes straight from the original mobile game. You can check them out in the gallery below.

If you're eager for more news, don't worry, as tomorrow there will be a stage event ready to deliver a new trailer and "announcements." At the moment, we don't know what these announcements will be, but it's very possible that a release date may be in store. Incidentally, news about Granblue Fantasy Versus has also been promised and you can expect a full report here on Techraptor as soon as the announcements are made.

If you're unfamiliar with Granblue Fantasy: Relink, it's Cygames' big debut into the AAA JRPG market for home platforms, following the successes of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game. It has been announced with the title Granblue Fantasy –  Project Re:Link all the way back in 2016 and several reveals have been made since, including the streamlining of the title. It has also been delayed several times.

It includes both single-player and co-op gameplay involving up to four players, and a rich world created with the full development might of Cygames' studio in Osaka.

Last year, we heard about a new 2023 release window for PS5, PS4, and PC. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll hear a confirmation of that, plus more release details.
