Adorable first-person shooter Gorytale is making its way to Steam this July. This cutesy shooter game mixes lots of firepower, metal music, and weirdly cute enemies into one adorable package. You'll be able to get your hands on it pretty soon when it releases on July 19, 2019.

In Gorytale, players take on the role of an unnamed protagonist who wasn't really the nicest guy while he was living. Unfortunately for him, his death sends him to his own personal version of hell. It's a landscape chock full of so many adorable creatures that it will make a unicorn barf a rainbow.

This game is definitely over the top, so much so that you'll probably need an oxygen mask to play it. Work your way through hordes of cartoony enemies, blowing them to bits with firearms and mocking their violated corpses with a dedicated button that flips them off. All the while, you'll enjoy some classic metal music that makes any fan of old-school FPS games feel right at home. Don't expect much in the way of a coherent story here — this whole shebang is simply an excuse to blow stuff up and have a boatload of fun while doing it.

If Gorytale sounds like the kind of thing you'd like to play, you'll be able to get it for yourself on July 19, 2019, when it launches on Steam. No price has been announced, but it's set to launch for PC and Mac. In the meantime, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam. Check out the game's second gameplay trailer below to get an idea of what the action is like!

What do you think of Gorytale? Do you like the overall aesthetic of this game? Is the premise too simple for you to really enjoy it? Let us know in the comments below!
