Today Busihiroad released new details and a trailer at AnimeJapan 2023 of its upcoming game Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer - Nightmare Feast, dedicated to the popular light novel and anime franchise.
We learned that the game, which was announced back in January, is a tactics JRPG for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch and it'll be released this winter. We already knew that it'll feature a completely new story and a new cast of characters and it'll be localized in English.
We also hear that the story has been drafted by the original creator Kumo Kagyu and the character design of the new characters is by the light novels' illustrator Noboru Kannatsuki.
The trailer introduces the new cast and the first glimpse at gameplay.
Each new character had their character design revealed alongside an official description. The descriptions are a bit rough, but come directly from the official site. We opted to keep them as provided.
Guild Master
Voice Actress: Rie Takahashi
The heroine of this work. An aristocratic girl who has been appointed as the guild master of a frontier guild branch after his father has passed away. She is well-behaved, but she is very active and sometimes rushes alone.
Blood Princess
Voice actress: Inori Minase
A vampire girl who wakes up from a long sleep and joins Guild Master on an adventure. She has an irreverent and selfish temperament like a queen, and looks down on humans.
Squire
Voice Actor: Yuki Ono
A childhood friend of Guild Master who is active as an adventurer. Although he is active, he tends to suppress the rushing Guild Master as soon as they meet again.
Polar Bear Priest
Voice Actor: Daisuke Ono
A bear race circuit rider who worships the Earth Mother. He has a warm, experienced and calm personality.
"Conan"
Miyuri Shimabukuro
A rune soldier wears a green robe and is armed with an iron spear who is a novice adventurer. …………It seems.
Lady of Principality
Voice Actress: Hisako Kanemoto
A childhood friend of Guild Master who is a noble daughter from the neighboring territory. She is highly trained in magic, benevolent, and has a high degree of dignity.
Of course, the established character from Goblin Slayer will also appear, with their voice actors reprising their roles.
Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer - Nightmare Feast is the first of a series of games inspired by anime announced earlier this year by Bushiroad. Other titles include Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - Quest of Memories and Macross: Shooting Insight.
If you're unfamiliar with Goblin Slayer, it debuted as a light novel series by Kumo Kagyu in 2016 and it's still ongoing. It has since generated several spin-offs and a manga series with its own spin-offs, on top of the popular anime series.
