Today the Japanese label GA Bunko, which publishes the Goblin Slayer light novel series, hosted its GA Fes 2023 event livestreamed on Abema, and had news to share with the fans of the franchise.
First of all, a game has been announced. While no visuals were showcased, we get the title "Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer- Nightmare Feast" and a few details. It'll focus on a completely original story, it'll come to Steam and Nintendo Switch, and it'll support both English and Japanese languages.
The story is briefly summarized as "the adventure of a young guild master" but nothing else has been shared, including the release window or even the genre. We'll have to wait for more information about this one and we'll let you know when we learn anything of relevance.
On top of the game, the second season of the anime, simply titled "Goblin Slayer II" has been revealed to come in 2023 with a new trailer, which you can watch below.
This time around the animation will be handled by Liden Films, which you may know for the Muv-Luv prequel Schwarzesmarken, Tribe Nine, Tokyo Revengers, and many more anime. It's also currently working on the Rurouni Kenshin remake.
At the moment, no precise debut date has been announced, but fans of the franchise have been waiting four years for a new season, so I'm sure many will be delighted by the news.
If you're unfamiliar with Goblin Slayer, it debuted as a light novel series by Kumo Kagyu in 2016 and it's still ongoing. It has since generated several spin-off and a manga series with its own spin-offs, on top of the anime series.
During the same event, we got a new trailer of the mobile JRPG dedicated to the Danmachi series.
