British publisher Ghostlight is bringing tactical Japanese RPG Lost Dimension to PC for Western audiences. The publisher is working with FURYU Corporation to convert and publish the game later this year. Originally released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2014-15, the game is finally becoming available to PC gamers.

Lost Dimension

A group of eleven psychics with superhuman abilities must bring down a terrorist known as ‘The End’ in Lost Dimension. The End is threatening a nuclear apocalypse and this young Special Forces group must find a way to stop him in the midst of mysterious circumstances set in the near-future. Featuring visual novel elements along with tactical RPG gameplay, the game has an interesting story written by Jun Kumagai.

Level design was directed by Takeshi Oga, and Yuu Yamashita and Makoto Tsuchibayashi provided character design for Lost Dimension.  Players will battle their way through the towering Pillar engaging in turn-based fights along the way. Strategically place teammates for battle so that they can help each other out and make the most of their abilities. Each floor has a randomly generated “traitor” that you’ll have to deduce through investigations and using your psychic powers of “vision”.

Choices made during the game will affect the game’s outcome and the randomly generated traitors will make each playthrough truly unique. Ghostlight will be using Atlus’ localization of Lost Dimension but plan to improve the technical specs and provide higher resolution artwork than the original. In bringing the title to PC they will make sure the game supports multiple screen resolutions, has mouse/keyboard and controller support, Steam Achievements and cloud saving

In addition to optimizing the tactical RPG for PC, Ghostlight writes on their blog that they’d like to offer a Special Digital Collector’s Edition but can’t make any promises about that just yet. Lost Dimension will be coming to PC via Steam before the end of 2017. If you want to learn more about Lost Dimension, read our review of the game when it came out previously!
