The Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint Friend Pass program has been announced by Ubisoft, letting up to three of your friends who don't own the game join you in battle for a limited time. What's more, a Free Trial has been launched that will let you get a few solid hours of playtime in for gamers who don't yet own Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint just wrapped up a free weekend which certainly gave bored gamers something new to do while they're stuck at home. I'm sure a few of you had fun, but you might still be on the fence about buying this game. Now, Ubisoft has another tempting, time-limited offer that will let you keep playing with your friends who already own the game.
How Does the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Friend Pass and Free Trial Work?
Let's get the bad news from the announcement out of the way: if you've played during the Ghost Recon Breakpoint free weekend for longer than six hours, you aren't eligible to experience the free trial. That's pretty lame, but you can still get into the game via the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Friend Pass.
Here's how the Friend Pass Works: one of your friends who already owns the game must invite you to play with them. Once they do, you can jump right in and join them, no strings attached. If you haven't yet downloaded the game, you'll need to grab the Trial version in order to be able to play with the Friend Pass.
And now for the good news for Free Trial players — if you played less than six hours during the recent free weekend, you'll be able to enjoy any of the remaining time as part of the Free Trial. Furthermore, your Free Trial timer pauses while using the Friend Pass, so you won't have to worry about the clock running down while playing with your friends.
The Ghost Recon Breakpoint Free Trial will probably be sticking around for a while, but the Friend Pass will only be available until June 16, 2020. If you've been curious about playing this game, now's the time to talk with a friend who owns it and jump in!
