Fans of Silent Hill finally have some news of a new trip to the hellish titular city with this morning's announcement of SILENT HILL: Ascension. SILENT HILL: Ascension is a new interactive streaming series that is coming from Genvid Entertainment. With the announcement comes a short trailer showing off the look and feel of the latest entry in the Silent Hill franchise.
The trailer offers a series of scenes of dimly lit houses and characters with melancholic looks across their faces. As these characters explore they're greeted with a variety of evil beings silhouetted in the dark. From the more humanoid nurses to massive creatures lurking through the forest fans of the franchise will enjoy seeing some returning enemies as well as some new ones. This trailer is met with a chilling monologue of a character describing the guilt emanating from the different characters, and how that guilt lingers through generations.
SILENT HILL: Ascension will be released later in 2023. Through the series, viewers will witness the stories of multiple main characters as they're tormented by the creatures of Silent Hill. The story will be released daily and the actions of the audience on the previous day's story will influence what happens next. Depending on those decisions you won't just explore different areas of Silent Hill, but characters may live or die by these decisions.
