Genshin Impact's next patch might not set the world on fire, but it does add some new quality of life features and a way to Acquaint Fate. Basically, players will be awarded with 1 Acquaint Fate for levels ascending at level 20, 50, and 70, and for any players that have already ascended, they will be able to claim their Acquaint Fate from the Ascension Materials Preview screen.
In a Developers Discussion post, the developers of Genshin Impact have answered 8 separate questions that will make player's lives a little bit easier. The first question deals with private chat with friends, with the 1.2 patch giving Travelers an unlocked friend system where players can chat with their friends via the Friends screen or a shortcut button. If a friend is offline, they will receive a message the next time they log in.
To keep track of their friends, players will also be able to add a note to their friends. Everyone has that one friend who likes to change their nickname all the time. Now they can do that to their heart's content and you won't be wondering how they know you or why they are referencing the spaghetti incident. There's also a trackable pin on the map that can be now placed so that players can set a destination and go to it. Only one pin can be tracked at a time, but its better than nothing.
Before patch 1.2, players would have to leave and re-enter a Domain to repeat a Domain challenge. Now you don't have to. The developers have also improved the Domain and Ley Line rewards system, have added a dialog auto-play option, and a place to view dialog for quests that have already been completed. Last but not least, after a co-op team is disbanded, Travelers will be able to keep their progress, which is great. No one likes to be forced to redo content.
