Genshin Impact developer HoyoVerse is about to release version 3.5, but it already revealed the new characters coming with 3.6.
Specifically, we learn that the first new character will be Baizhu. I say "new" loosely, as he'll be newly playable. Baizhu was actually introduced as an NPC all the way back in version 1.0 and he's finally being added to the playable roster.
He's the owner of Bubu Pharmacy and his tagline is "Beyond morality." He's associated with the Dendro element and the Lagenaria constellation. Here's how he's described and his art.
"There's a pharmacy in Liyue called Bubu, and in it is Dr. Baizhu. His skills make all illnesses better, but his medicines are really bitter!"

Next, we're getting Kaveh, a Renowned Sumeru Architect whose tagline is "Empyrean Reflection." He's also a Dendro character and his constellation is Paradisaea.
"A renowned architect from Sumeru, known as the Light of Kshahrewar. He is one of the most high-profile figures in the industry."

In the meanwhile, we're still waiting for the next update numbered 3.5 and titled "Windblume's Breath." It'll come on March 1 and will bring the pyro character Deohya and more.
If you're unfamiliar with Genshin Impact, it's currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. A Nintendo Switch version has been announced a long time ago, but HoYoverse has gone under the radar with it and has not said anything since despite confirming multiple times that it hasn't been canceled. We'll have to wait and see if 2023 will finally be the year of Genshin on Nintendo's console.
