Mihoyo has unveiled the new Genshin Impact 2.4 characters, and they look like they're going to be great fun to get to grips with. There's a Geo-using lover of the fine arts and a Cryo-wielding woman of mystery raised amongst exorcists.
Who's this Yun Jin Genshin Impact is getting soon?
Our first new character is Yun Jin (previously spelled Yunjin in leaks), the leader of the Yun Han opera troupe. She's well-known in the Liyue Harbor opera world, but she's actually a big fan of rock'n'roll, so that's what you'll find her listening to most days. As a Renaissance woman, she's a playwright, singer, and actress to be reckoned with. She wields the Geo element along with what looks to be a polearm weapon.
What do we know about the new Genshin Impact Shenhe character?
Secondly, you're getting Shenhe, a mysterious adeptus raised amongst exorcists. Mihoyo describes her as an "Ethereal Soul Amidst the Mortal Realm", and appropriately enough for her icy demeanor, she's a Cryo user. She was taken in by Cloud Retainer as a disciple, and she's become distant from worldly concerns due to her consumption of mountain herbs and dew (as opposed to Mountain Dew and herbs). Like Yun Jin, she's also a polearm user.
When is the Genshin Impact 2.4 release date?
We'll likely learn more about these characters, including their abilities and how they fit into the story, when the new update launches. The Genshin Impact 2.4 release date is currently shrouded in mystery, but given that the 2.3 update launches tomorrow, we're expecting this one to arrive sometime around December or perhaps January next year. Mihoyo hasn't announced anything official regarding this release date, so we'll bring you more on that as soon as we get it. Here's hoping the new Genshin Impact 2.4 characters inspire some excellent fan creations, as many of the game's cast already have.
You can download Genshin Impact free right now for PC, PlayStation consoles, and mobile platforms. A version for Nintendo Switch is also in development, although we don't have a release date on that just yet. It's go for Mihoyo right now, too, as the studio is purportedly currently working on a brand new AAA game distinct from both Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. Will that game also have operatic polearm users and ghostly exorcists?
