Just a few hours after the Genshin Impact Version 2.1 launch, Genshin Impact Version 2.2 information is emerging on Twitter.
Twitter accounts @ImpactYoimiya and @abc64real have taken to the site to tweet out their findings for Version 2.2, including information on the upcoming Pyro 4-star, Thoma, as well as new weapons and an upcoming, additional Inazuma island. Genshin Impact Version 2.2 will serve as the third part of the Inazuma update.
Genshin Impact Weapon Leaks
This upcoming weapon leaked by @ImpactYoimiya is a 5-star bow available in the weapon banner. As always, this information is subject to change, but the current stats on this weapon make it look like beastly. My favorite part? "This is a bow." It seems @ImpactYoimiya found this humorous as well.
@abc64real claims that, additionally, a partial 4-star weapon set will be available in Genshin Impact Version 2.2.
Genshin Impact Version 2.2 Character Leaks
Thoma - The Kamisato Clan's Housekeeper
Thoma is an upcoming 4-star Pyro character coming to Genshin Impact. He was the first upcoming playable character we met when we entered Inazuma and he works for Kamisato Ayaka, the first 5-star available to players. Information on his character has been leaked to Twitter shortly after GenshinImpact officially revealed him in a tweet. @ImpactYoimiya made a helpful graphic that shows off Thoma's namecard, his ascension items, and more.
Genshin Impact Thoma Constellations
On top of @ImpactYoimiya leaking his constellations, Thoma's animations were leaked by various Twitter accounts. @abc64real introduces us to Thoma's polearm moves here.
Genshin Impact Thoma Talents
Thoma's skills were leaked by Twitter user @dimbreath. @dimbreath also gives credits to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Translation Team.
Thoma's Normal Attack
- Normal Attack: Perform up to 4 consecutive polearm strikes.
- Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina and lunges forward, dealing damage to enemies in his path.
Thoma's Elemental Skill: Chuuken Guard
Thoma plunges his polearm into the ground as support, and kicks forward with the power of flames, causing AoE Pyro damage. He also conjures a shield of Chuuken Guard to protect himself, and infuses his attacks with pyro.
The shield's damage absorption scales with Thoma's max HP.
The shield has the following properties:
- 250% bonus absorption towards pyro damage;
- If Chuuken Guard is refreshed while active, the remaining HP of the existing shield stacks with the new one, and its duration will be extended.
Thoma's Elemental Burst: Blazing Armor of Flames
Thoma spins his polearm, cutting down enemies around him with scorching flames, causing AoE pyro damage, and creates a flaming armor.
- While a character on the field is protected by the armor, normal attacks will cause a fiery eruption, causing AoE Pyro damage, and conjures the protection of Chuuken Guard.
- Fiery eruptions may only occur once every second.

Thoma's passive will tie into the new fishing feature available in Genshin Impact. Women want Thoma, fish fear Thoma.
Genshin Impact New Island
This new island, located in Inazuma, seems to be just south of Watastumi Island. It is not known what its purpose is, but the size of the island is more than welcome. More exploring? Count me in!
Genshin Impact New Item
The purpose of this item is unknown, but based upon @ImpactYoimiya's screenshot, it'll probably be used in an event where players have to find something. It also seems to have three charges.
Genshin Impact "To the World's Sounds Listening" Event
According to @Genshin_Intel, "To the World's Sound Listening" is an osu-styled music event. Kazaha will gift this instrument to the player and you will have to play it alongside other characters. The instrument is kept as a reward.
Genshin Impact Version 2.2 Release Date
Thoma, along with everything else in Version 2.2, is targeting an October 13th release date based on the last information we had from the developer.. Thoma's banner will probably include a rerun of a character like Ganyu or Hu Tao from Liyue. For more Genshin Impact news, stay tuned to TechRaptor.
