Paul Sage and Randy Pitchford took to the stage at PAX East following another showing of the Borderlands trailer that's been making the rounds. Mr. Pitchford casually announced that Mr. Sage is the Creative Director of "a new Borderlands game". promising that he would be showing the audience "a bunch of cool stuff". Mr. Pitchford then jokingly confirmed that they are not making a battle royale game in the Borderlands universe. Randy continued on to talk about the Borderlands trailer and highlight some cosplayers in the audience and talking for quite a while longer. Steve Gibson was eventually brought on to the stage to talk about the first actual announcement: They Came From Below, the first DLC package for We Happy Few.
They Came From Below will be part of the game's season pass. Players can expect to hear more details about They Came From Below in the coming days. The first bit of DLC for We Happy Few is expected to be available on all platforms on April 4, 2019.
If you haven't yet played We Happy Few, it's a game that's had a bit of a redemption story since its release. Early reviews (including our own review) highlighted several issues with the game. Thankfully, these were eventually rectified by the developers. We Happy Few most recently released the 1.7 update that added an Arcade mode and a whole bunch of other stuff.
As for the new DLC, we don't know much about it other than the fact that it will feature two characters named Roger & James. Hopefully, we'll be hearing more substantial details about the They Came From Below DLC in the coming days. The newest We Happy Few DLC will launch on April 4, 2019.
