Private Division and V1 Interactive showcased new footage of Disintegration after teasing it last month in July. The Gamescom Opening Night Live video teases the sci-fi first-person shooter without saying too much.
For anyone worried about Epic Game Store exclusives, it currently has a Steam product page with more information about it. It has a single-player campaign with a PvP mode playable at Gamescom for any attendees. Disintegration will have three different multiplayer modes on launch with the current one at Gamescom being a 5v5 competitive one. Anyone who attends PAX West later this month will also have an opportunity to try it from August 30 to September 2 in Seattle.
Courtesy of the Steam product page, we have the backstory below,
"Disintegration is a new sci-fi first-person shooter set in the near future on Earth where the only hope for human survival is through Integration, a process developed to preserve human brains in robotic armatures. You play as Romer Shoal, a former Gravcycle pilot in command of a small Integrated resistance still grasping onto fading memories of their human selves. With the domineering Rayonne forces set on eliminating the final remnants of human society, it’s up to Romer and his crew of Outlaws to fight back and reboot humanity."
After the trailer below was shown at Gamescom ONL, the President and Game Director at V1 Interactive, Marcus Lehto described the game a bit further, "It's a first-person shooter with a lot of real-time tactics blended in ... You play as a pilot in this gravcycle vehicle that hovers above the ground. And you have onboard weapons for offensive and defensive capability. As well as then commanding a small squad of units on the ground."
Disintegration will be available sometime in 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for $49.99. A demo will also be at PAX West later this month taking place from August 30 to September 2.
