KartKraft

Melbourne, Australian based indie dev Black Delta are at Gamescom 2015 to show off their new game KartKraft. Originally entitles KartSim this game began as a university game prototype by Black Delta CEO Zach Griffin. Using a special motion simulator, that had to be airshipped from Australia, and an Oculus Rift this game allows racers to feel every part of the experience from the bump in the road to the feeling of sliding around a corner.

What an incredible journey it’s been! In 2005, I wrote the first prototype for KartKraft. After 10 years and what started as a university project in Melbourne, Australia, and now to debut the game at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany; it doesn’t get much better than this. Being so fortunate to combine my passions for gaming and racing karts, the vision for KartKraft far exceeded what one man could ever accomplish. Seven months since we launched the studio to rebuild KartKraft from the ground up, we can’t wait to show what the Black Delta team has been working on.
Fear not if you don't have all the expensive tech as KartKraft will also be coming to Steam for an early access release window of Q4 2015. You will be able to customize your avatar, kart and team as you race on laser scanned courses from around the world. If you want to learn more about the game or show your support then be sure to check out their official website, Facebook or Twitter.

Would you want to play a kart sim at this level of detail? How worth it would a full sim experience be to you?
