It looks like Far Cry isn't the only franchise leaking ahead of The Game Awards this year. The trailer for the newest in Capcom's beloved hack-and-slash franchise was posted to the Xbox Portugal Facebook page, ahead of its intended debut at tonight's award show. The five-minute trailer for Devil May Cry 5 features gameplay clips of Nero and Dante in action, and it's as stylish as you'd expect for the series. The new devil slayer, V, also shows off his combat prowess.
The trailer ends with a surprising announcement: Xbox One owners can exclusively play the game's first demo starting Dec. 7. This is exciting news for Xbox and Microsoft, and according to their Twitter feed, they can hardly contain the hype.

Devil May Cry 5 was first announced during Microsoft's press conference at this year's E3. In September, many people found out about the game's microtransactions during Tokyo Game Show. Players can pay money to upgrade their characters, rather than using the resources earned in the game.
Additionally, according to a listing on the PlayStation Store, the game could feature "Network play for 2-3 players." Nothing specific has been revealed, and game director Hideaki Itsuno has adopted a "wait and see" attitude. Despite The Game Awards trailer leaking ahead of schedule, there's a chance that Itsuno and the Devil May Cry team will have more to say later tonight.
The trailer has since been taken off Xbox Portugal's Facebook page, but you can find a mirror of it here. Devil May Cry 5 is set for a worldwide release on March 8 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
