I don't need to write a crazy intro for Rage 2. It's an awesome looking open world first person shooter that looks like it's taking all the things that made the first game fun and expanding it in all the ways it should be. Now we know when you can get it in your hands.

The trailer starts off with a giant monster biting some dude's head off, only for its own head to blow up violently. This is great. The rest of the trailer is full of rapid cuts showing many scenes of violence and combat while set to Danny Brown's fantastic song Ain't it Funny. Headshots, boomerangs, rocket launchers, and more are used to blow people up in violent ways. One part a guy is riding around in a mech suit with machine guns! Machine gun mech suit guys! We also got to see vehicles getting hijacked, a monster truck with rockets, and a guy peeing in a lake.

In addition to this, we get a chance to see a destruction derby where players can race cars, and more importantly smash them. Because it can't be Rage 2 if you don't have some road rage too. We also get to see Mutant Bash TV, a game show where mutants are launched out of a cannon for the player to shoot at while they fly through the air. We also got to see Wellspring, a city where you could partake in a few non-violent activities. One of them appeared to be a dance-off. After all that killing I guess you need a bit of time to relax and... not kill things? Weird.

The trailer ends with the news that Rage 2 will be launching on May 14th, 2019. This is certainly welcome, as you won't have to wait long to get into the game.

Rage 2 will be launching on May 14th, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
