Palmer Lucky hit the stage with a Rock Band guitar to announce Rock Band VR, a version of the popular plastic instruments game designed with the Oculus Rift in mind. It is a first party development, with Oculus Studios creating the game in partnership with traditional franchise creators Harmonix.

Once it shifted over to gameplay, you could see a first person view of the guitarist wielding a virtual facsimile of the Rock Band guitar. The style from the game's background graphics has been preserved and was shown off as brief in-game footage of someone playing "Through The Fire and Flames" was shown. Rock Band VR will be launching near the launch of the Oculus Rift in Q1 of 2016.
