Far Cry Primal showed off some gameplay at the 2015 Game Awards showcasing how you will be able to tame wild animals and use them to help you hunt or attack enemies. Far Cry Primal takes gamers away from the modern age and back to 10,000 B.C. in the fictional Oros for a new experience in the series playing as a caveman fighting to survive the harsh environment, deadly animals, and other cave-people. The game also looks to be using mountain peaks in place of the radio towers from previous Far Cry games. The selection of tameable animals in Far Cry Primal includes Saber-tooth Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Mammoths.
Ubisoft has also revealed the Far Cry Primal Deluxe Edition and its contents. The Deluxe edition will feature physical additions including a SteelBook case for the game, a map of Oros, and the Far Cry Primal Soundtrack. It will also come with some digital bonuses: Legend of the Mammoth which is three bonus missions that have you playing as a mammoth, the unbreakable Blood Shasti Club weapon, and four enhancement packs which give you early access to rare resources and customization options.
Far Cry Primal is set to release February 23, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
