FV Cup 2017 Results

FV Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is part of the Capcom Pro Tour's Asia regional events, and as one of the last few Asia tournaments before the regional finals, points for those who can't travel abroad are becoming more important than ever.

In addition to the headlining game, tournaments were also held for Tekken 7, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and The King of Fighters XIV. Streaming was handled by Beastapac and Janda Hunter on Twitch. Zowie's Oil King, one of the great Rashid players, dominates yet another tournament, earning 160 CPT points for the trouble, finally joining the over-1000 club on the leaderboards. He's also second in the Asia/Oceania regional board, meaning he has a chance to make another 400 by competing at the regional finals at Southeast Asia Major. He'll be joined by Tachikawa, who actually needs the extra 400, as he does not have enough global points to break into the overall top 30. On a more disappointing note, Infiltration, who came in 9th, is currently only five points shy of joining his peers in the regional finals at the moment. With only two more Asia events left before finals, he'll really need to bust his butt to make the cut.
