Norwegian developer and publisher Funcom recently revealed its Q4 2019 financial reports, and it features a number of interesting topics for what the studio has in plan for 2020. The studio's reported a lower revenue compared to 2018's fourth-quarter performance but attributed it to the release of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden compared to the relatively smaller Moons of Madness.

Chief Executive Officer, Rui Casais, highlighted the strong performance of Conan Exiles throughout the final quarter of last year. The title managed to reach its third-best tally of average players in December, mainly as a result of two DLC releases and the newly added mounts and mounted combat features. Casais went on to tease a new expansion planned for the second half of 2020, alongside promising continuous free updates and new cosmetic items.

The final quarter of 2019 saw the continued strength of Conan Exiles, with two DLC launches leading to a month of December that was the third best in terms of average number of PC players, proving once again that Conan Exiles still has a lot to give. It’s with this energy that we are working towards a paid expansion to release during the second half of 2020, growing the game with new content for players to explore. In addition, we will continue launching cosmetic DLCs and doing free updates to the game as we have done so far

The statement continues to reveal Funcom's investment in ten games, focusing mainly on DUNE and followed by the Mutant Chronicles. However, the studio lately is considering to gather further funding to increase DUNE's scope and its open-world.

Make sure to check out Funcom's Q4 2019 financial presentation below. While we wait for the official reveal, let us know what downloadable content you wish to see come true for Conan Exiles.
