The surprise indie hit Rocket League is about to usher out new, free content to its fans once again, allowing them to "mutate" their matches next month. By "mutate" Psyonix means that you will be able to change the conditions of the game, certain "modes" if you will, with a whole bunch of new settings.

Some of the settings will be preset modes you can go with, and you will also have the ability to make something all your own. In the video above you can see some of the "mutations" you can do like change the ball into a cube and what seems to be a mode where every time you touch the ball you explode. "Moonball" was also something shown there that is a low-gravity mode with extra boosts.

The end of the video lists a lot of other settings you can mess with like ball size, ball weight, gravity, respawn time, slow mo, and a whole bunch more. Judging by the Moonball mode, it seems that multiple settings can be changed at once, the limits of which are not yet known. How exactly this may or may not work into matchmaking isn't known either.

It's worth noting that the end of the video above shows off a mode where the ball is turned into a hockey puck, which seems as though it will be coming in December, so stay tuned for more details on that as well.

More information will be coming, along with some more footage of the mutations, tomorrow at 5 p.m.m Eastern on Rocket League's Twitch channel. Also, they will be doing an AMA on Reddit on November 3rd at 4 p.m. Eastern, so check back there for more information as well.

What do you think of the free update to Rocket League? What modes do you want them to add?
