A free Model Builder: Frostpunk DLC is now available, bringing several models from 11 bit studios' survival city builder into the model building simulation game.
Just a few days ahead of Steam's upcoming Simfest event, the casual sim game Model Builder has announced something pretty cool: several models from Frostpunk have arrived in the game as a free DLC. If you like the buildings in Frostpunk and would like to put them together without the whole "dying to frostbite" part, now's your chance!
What is the Free Model Builder: Frostpunk DLC?
The free Model Builder: Frostpunk DLC adds three pieces of iconic content from the survival city builder Frostpunk into Model Builder on Steam. Here's what you can get with this DLC:
- Automaton - Massive four-legged walkers that tower over your citizens. In Frostpunk, Automatons are able to staff your buildings at all hours, albeit with lower efficiency when compared to actual people.
- Dreadnought - A large steam locomotive that was used by British survivors to reach the steampunk cities after the new ice age.
- Generator - The main source of heat and power for your city, serving as the iconic centerpiece of your budding civilization.
As with other models in the game, this new Model Builder DLC will allow you to pop out the individual pieces of these Frostpunk buildings and units and assemble them piece-by-piece.
You can get the free Model Builder: Frostpunk DLC for PC via Steam right now. You'll need the base game to play it, though -- you can buy Model Builder for PC via Steam for $15.99, a 20% discount that lasts until April 5, 2022.
