A new free F1 22 update has been released, and there's a treat in store if you're a Formula One fanatic. The Alfa Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 car, which is due to hit pre-season testing later this week, has been added to the game, so you can test it out and see how it runs in the game.

According to a press release, this marks the first time that an upcoming F1 livery has been added to an official F1 video game. The car is available to check out in the Time Trial mode, although you will, of course, need a copy of F1 22, and you'll also need to have installed all of the most recent updates.

The car itself is the same one that drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will be driving in the upcoming World Championship, which kicks off with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5th. It's an evolution of last year's model, which gave Alfa Romeo its best result in more than a decade at the 2022 Constructors' Championship.

Make sure to update your copy of F1 22 to get a chance to drive this beast.

Alfa Romeo spokesperson Alessandro Alunni Bravi says the team is "proud" to pioneer the prospect of giving fans the chance to try out a car before it's been seen on a track in real life. Bravi also says this is "not the whole story", and that the Alfa Romeo team has "a lot more in store" over the course of the coming season. Looks like there's cause to get excited if you're an F1 22 fan.

You can check out F1 22 right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game is also set to be added to EA's Play List starting from March 2nd, which also means you'll be able to check it out on Xbox Game Pass if you're an Ultimate subscriber. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more F1 22 news.
