Developers at Playground Games have announced the newest update to Forza Horizon 5, season 10. This update is not only filled to the brim with new features, and the devs announced that they are introducing a new eco-friendly type of car to the list.

With the new update comes a new SUV, the Extreme E ODYSSEY 21 e-SUV. Not only that, but they are also adding in a four-week-long festival where players can use the latest SUV to earn rewards and complete fast-paced challenges. Players can unlock unique variants of the Extreme E that come in a wide array of colors that represent the teams competing in the 2022 Extreme E Championship as they complete events. On top of the car customization, players will also be able to unlock racing suits to prepare for the off-road competitions that lie ahead. There will also be new collectibles centered around the Extreme E, so players should remain vigilant to spot them as they come about.

The Extreme E ODYSSEY 21 e-SUV is described as a power-house of a vehicle, weighing a whopping 1,780 kilograms. The SUV is designed for sprint races with a  470kW maximum battery output. The Extreme E is built to last, as it can withstand the highest and lowest of temperatures, several rough and tough terrains, and a multitude of weather conditions.

Other noteworthy fixes and features would be the handling of the cars. The devs have mentioned that they fixed the bug causing certain cars to feel more unstable to drive when using simulated steering after they changed the physics in Series 9. Players had issues with the auction house, where they would lose credits if their bid failed. This has also been fixed, so players will no longer lose those credits from a failed bid. Season 10 will also implement a new and improved recovery system that enables a pop-up to appear, allowing players to restore a previous save if the game senses the loss of game-save data.

With new customization options for both cars and in-game characters, gameplay bug fixes, and the introduction of a brand new e-vehicle, there will be plenty of new content for Forza Horizon 5 players to look forward to. Those who want to read the complete list of updates can do so here.
