Today Microsoft and Playground Games revealed a brand new expansion for its open-world racing game Forza Horizon 5, titled Rally Adventure.
The expansion does pretty much what it says on the tin, set in the brand new Sierra Nueva area, including a new main town, deformable sand roads, an abandoned quarry, plenty of terrain to race on, and even a "fully smashable" smash forest in which almost no tree will stand in your way (or at least will remain standing after you passed).
The focus is on a rally career for three different teams, Alex's Horizon Raptors, Alejandra's Apex Predators, and Ramiro's Grit Reapers. Each of them specializes in a different flavor of rally racing.
New features include 10 cars and new assists focusing on the beginning of the race, anti-lag and launch control.
Of course, Sierra Nueva doesn't just feature dirt roads, as it also comes with plenty of asphalt roads. You can enjoy the area both with the rally mode and with the usual racing mode that you're used to with Forza Horizon 5. Incidentally, the game suggests which cars you should use for rallies, but the final pick is ultimately up to the player.

If you're more interested in pure racing without the Open World, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios are preparing to release the brand new Forza Motorsport racing sim later this year for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game promises more advancements made in physics simulation than Forza Motorsport 5, 6, and 7 combined.
