HopFrog, the developers of the survival/crafting game Forager, have released an official Forager update roadmap for the game. The roadmap talks about some of the features planned for the future, including mod support and multiplayer.
Forager to the future
In their post on Steam, HopFrog expressed their pleasure about the positive reception the game has received from their players. They've also thanked players for their feedback and suggestions. With their help, HopFrog has released an official roadmap for future Forager updates.HopFrog started off by addressing the main points raised by the feedback. The main points touched upon improving the game's replayability and balancing the pacing ("~20 hours and then nothing to do anymore.") Other suggestions include improved combat, better/more accessibility controls, and various quality of life fixes.
Moving on to the Forager roadmap, there are four major updates planned:
- The Appreciation update, slated for this month, will add new modes and weather effects. In addition, there'll also be quality of life updates and an improved options menu.
- The Combat update, releasing this summer, will add new foes to fight and make combat more exciting. There'll also be a new biome and a hard mode.
- The Mod Support update, planned for this fall, adds mod supports for things like biomes, islands, structures, and more.
- Finally, the winter will bring the Multiplayer update to the game. This update, as you might have guessed, will add multiplayer, as well as new lands and items.
Forager is available on Steam for $19.99. It's currently only available for PC, but the Mac port is releasing soon. Check out our review to find out more about Forager.
