Publisher Sega and developer Sports Interactive have announced the Football Manager 25 release date, and the latest installment of the management sim series is hitting PC and consoles in November.
In an announcement post, the two studios say that Football Manager 25 will arrive first on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 on November 26th, and that a mobile version of the game, namely FM25 Mobile, will arrive via Netflix Games on the same day.
FM25 Touch, a version of the game for the Nintendo Switch, will then follow on December 3rd, and Sports Interactive and Sega say they'll reveal more information about FM25 Touch "in the coming weeks".
As has been previously revealed, Football Manager 25 will be the first game in the series to feature full licensing for the Premier League, so you won't need to spend hours editing your favorite teams anymore.
It's also making a switch to the Unity engine, which Sports Interactive says will power "the new era for football management", creating "a deeper, more authentic football universe". I'll be using "football" rather than "soccer" here, by the way. Blame my Britishness.
However, this newest installment will also lack the Create-a-Club feature, as well as several other core franchise features, including Touchline Shouts and the Data Chalkboard.
A number of new features will be introduced in FM25, however, including the debut of women's football, overhauled tactics, and "a complete revamp of the way to set up your manager", which Sports Interactive says will lead to "more customized, unique stories".
In the weeks between now and Football Manager 25's release, Sega and Sports Interactive will be drip-feeding new information about the game, including info about key features, new additions, and more.
It's worth noting that the platforms on which Football Manager 25 will appear seem a little confusing. On its pre-order page, the game appears to be available for "Xbox", which seemingly includes Xbox One.
However, its official website simply shows images of the Xbox Series X and the PS5 under the console heading, so if you're looking to play the game on Xbox One, you may want to hold off pre-ordering. It's definitely not coming to PS4, though. Sorry, PS4 players.
