Studio Thunderhorse and Humble Games have announced that its upcoming action platformer Flynn: Son of Crimson will be making its way to PC and consoles in less than a month.

Flynn: Son of Crimson puts you in the shoes of Flynn, an adventurer on the beautiful island of Rosantica. The Scourge that once plagued the land is making a return and it's up to Flynn to defeat them — check out the Flynn: Son of Crimson Release Date Trailer to get a feel for its vibe!

Flynn won't be going it alone, though — he can summon Dex, a mystical wolf that serves as his companion and protector. Dex can help Flynn move around the world and even join him in combat if need be.

That's not to say that Flynn doesn't have some fighting ability of his own! His ancestors have passed down the power to use Crimson Energy with his Crimson Blade, Crimson Axe, and Crimson Claws, each of which give you different approaches for attacking enemies. Flynn can also use elemental magic in the form of fire, ice, and lighting through the flora of the island.

Flynn: Son of Crimson is the product of a successful Kickstarter. This game will be the first commercial release of Studio Thunderhorse to make its debut on Steam.
