Turbolento games has a "game" that's becoming a hit, as Placid Plastic Duck Simulator is an experience where you literally do nothing except watch plastic ducks float in a pool of water. Basically, this indie title is Chill Vibes: The Game, and soon you'll be able to hang out with your friends and watch plastic ducks float around a pool in and around March 2023. The game will also be receiving a third DLC and a Nintendo Switch port after that. Basically, while it's not Ducktales or some other duck game where you actually do something, it's definitely a way to spend your money.

Thanks to the developers sharing their stats, the game has sold 76k units with only 4.3k returning it, which doesn't seem too bad for a game about floating ducks. 25k DLC units have also been sold, so while the game and DLC is selling for a measly $1.99, actual money has been made off the enterprising players that have bought into this radical new concept.

Got any grapes?

The game has been getting 'Overwhelmingly Positive' reviews on Steam as well, with 3.4k reviews coming in at 98% positive at the time of publishing. After all, it's literally what it says on the tin, so if you buy a $2 game and except something different I have a lovely bridge to sell you.

Anyways, it's important to note that while you're floating around doing nothing, the ducks themselves aren't doing nothing. The ducks apparently have random interactions with each other as well as a personality and different attributes. If you look around on YouTube and Twitch, players have been telling their own stories and coming up with lore about their...plastic ducks. I mean why not, of all the simulator games that are out there, this is definitely one of them, amirite?
